THE UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS & NEEDS OF GIFTED YOUTH - PRESENTED BY THE NASW MICHIGAN CHAPTER
Please join us Thursday, March 7, at the 36 Mystics Jewish Center for a workshop on Gifted Youth led by Dr Christie McWilliams, Ed.D.; presented by the local chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
The workshop will provide an informed understanding of "gifted youth" - including the special cognitive and emotional features of gifted children; the notable differences between gifted children and high achievers; and the particular challenges gifted children may present to parents, caregivers, and educators.
Workshop presenter Dr McWilliams is a veteran educator who has worked extensively with gifted children and high achievers. She is a board member of the Michigan Association of Gifted Children, and a frequent speaker at professional conferences and workshops.
This event is open to both professionals and the general public. Continuing Education (CE) credits are available. For more information, please click the ticket link below or email regional NASW representative Abby Segal, LMSW:
